(In fact, Jessica called me several days after the purchase to find out how the process went, to see if I was happy with the vehicle and to see if there was anything else Platinum needed to do.) Lakita, the Sales Rep was knowledgeable and quite helpful in taking me through the steps in buying the Truck. The Sales Manager, Mark, was instrumental in creating a flexible process, as I had a previously-committed appointment that afternoon which I had to leave for, upon my return the Truck was ready to go and all that was left was for Tim (Finance Manager) to walk me through completing the finance paperwork. 5 Stars for sure! I’ve been a fan of Chevy for over 15 years to which I have lived in Santa Rosa. I have owned diesel Chevy Cruz, Silverado, Camero, Tahoe, Traverse, equinox. While I haven’t purchased from Platinum Chevrolet Santa Rosa I have always serviced my car there and loved the service they gave. It wasn’t up until now I wanted an electric car and was excited to trade in my old gas equinox for an electric one. I didn’t know much about them but enough to work around the area to charge a new one. Justin D. has been great at showing the available stock of EV equinox. He was accommodating to show me the best options and answered any questions I may have. It wasn’t just Justin that helped with my decision to purchase from Santa Rosa Platnium Chevrolet but the service I received there. The service team there has the “I’ll take care of you” attitude that is rare to come by these days. I specifically told my husband I wanted to buy from THIS dealership because of the service they provide when taking it in service. I hope to see continued service throughout the life of my EV. Came in because the SD card on my 2021 GMC 3500 Denali Dually malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. I came in and spoke with service advisor who advised there would be a $250 diagnostic fee, but I’d only be charged $100. He then directed me to an area to wait for the shuttle to take me to work. I waited there for more than 30 min and eventually asked someone else for an eta. He told me there was one ready for me and that the message never came to them that I needed a shuttle, this made me late to work. Then, I was told that the dealership/GM would not cover the chip,and I would have to pay $800+ for this part out of pocket, for my $120k truck with 11k miles, and was given the number for GM so I could talk to them if I wanted. Then, when I picked up the truck, I was given an invoice for $900+ and the $250 was not reduced. When I got home and looked online and saw that this chip malfunctioning is a well known issue, apparently, and GM seems to cover it for all of the posts from owners that I saw, which were many. I don’t think I should have to pay for this chip and I’m frustrated that this is even taking time way from work. I don’t know why I’m being charged $250 for the dealership to diagnose an obvious problem. It’s like diagnosing a flat tire.. And I thought was inconsiderate that I was left waiting for the shuttle for so long because the advisor forgot about me which impacted my work day.

Brought in my car for service, was told I had recall for my vehicle. When receiving my car, noticed my car was not working properly as it was before I dropped it off. Called the service advisor to let him know about the issues that were not there before, and mentioned to just make another appointment and have my warranty cover it. I had driven an hour and a half to go to the dealership and get the service. I am not planning on going back.

I am not a big fan of texting as the main way to communicate with the Service Coordinators, but that seems to be the way that Platinum has gone. I don't like the long phone introduction from Todd each time I call - I just want to get to the Service Department without all the extra greeting and then the phone tree. Can this be deleted and answered by a real person to direct us? Lastly, after three visits for the same issue, the service team finally figured out what is wrong with my vehicle. It's a pretty minor issue that should have been caught on the first visit. I am awaiting parts and then a scheduling for the 4th, and hopefully final, visit.

There service was great as usual Only a couple issues When I picked up after service completed, there was a grease hand print on the drivers door & door handle, another grease hand print on the rear bumper, and one grease mark on the middle seat back of the passenger side. I didn't notice them until I got home, but was able to clean them all off. The paper floor mat & the number tag was also left in the truck This wasn't a major issue, but I thought i would pass this along as it is definitely a quality of service issue. On my next service visit, I will have Odin inspect the vehicle with me after service delivery.

Overall, I’m satisfied with my experience. The Equinox is excellent, and the sales team was very nice. However, there were several disappointments in the process of buying the car. First, when I arrived a week before purchase to test drive the car with an appointment with a salesperson, the car I came to drive wasn’t even at the lot. Apparently, it had been sent for bodywork or minor repair and the salesperson didn’t know it would be gone, despite the appointment being made specifically to drive that car. This seems like a failure of communication at Platinum Chevy. Since I live in Eureka, I couldn’t come back to test drive the car. So I took the salesperson’s word that the car would be in perfect condition and I purchased the car several days later from Eureka. When I drove down to pick up the car, I discovered that there were several issues with it that should have been checked and fixed before I arrived. First, there are scuffs on the hood. It’s amazing to me that these weren’t seen before I arrived, given the fact that the car was in the body shop for repairs the week before. Furthermore, the salesperson should have caught this. Thankfully, another sales manager gave me $500 off the car to help compensate for the scuffs so I could get them repaired in Eureka. Secondly, the back area of the cabin frequently squeaks. I noticed it within 15 minutes of driving my new car off the lot and hoped it would go away. I still don’t know what’s wrong with it. Finally, the SuperCruise didn’t work right off the lot. This should be something that was checked before selling the car to me. I had to wait for two weeks to get an appointment locally so they could fix it. Thankfully, it’s a warranty coverage, but it was very disappointing and inconvenient to have to take it for repairs right away. So, once again: it’s a great car, I experience nice sales persons, but there is room for improvement in communication and attention to detail.

First time customer switching from your competitor Novato Chevrolet due to distance. Was not pleased with overall service. 1. Booked appointment online, service rep said there was no appointment and that booking online had issues. 2. Appointments was for 52,500 mile check, but service rep pushed for me to have 45,000 mile check. Showed service page receipt from Novato that showed 45,000 mile was completed 7,500 miles ago. Was told it doesn’t matter they are basically the same thing. 3. Then was told that brake fluid replacement should be done with every 45,000 mile check. I said I already had it done. He looked at receipt and said it wasn’t done leaving me to question if I paid for a service that was supposed to be done with the 45,000 mile that wasn’t done. 4. Car ready went to pay and cashier told me you owe $209 without even showing me any paperwork of what was done. I had to ask to see receipt of service before paying. 5. Had issue with tire check. Recommend replacement soon a year ago at Novato 6/32, but no mention of needing recommend same replacement here. Asked why not mention, tech said it was still at 6/32 after driving an additional 20000 miles. 6. Received email with service paperwork that is supposed to have tire measurements, red box for what should be replaced, green box for what is ok etc. mine is blank. My service was done in 50 minutes from check in. I have no record of what service outcomes were. No recommendation of replacement or anything needing service including the brake service that was originally implied that I needed. Overall left their feeling like the most minimal service was done and it took less than an hour to do it. I feel less safe now driving my car after service than when I brought it in. This was first experience and likely I will just keep making the trip to Novato Chevrolet where I bought the car to get it serviced in the future.

There is a lack of responsiveness and failure to provide enough information regarding procedures and duration of service appointments to allow customers to plan for the service visit. No one answers the telephone. You receive a text asking how they can help, but its clear no one is really monitoring the texts either because the questions asked are not answered. No real attempt is made to make service convenient. There are no courtesy cars, the waiting room had no water and no coffee.

Everyone was responsive - my transmission went out, so I had it towed to Platinum and since I'm in the system they took care of everything as far as getting it in the shop; I didn't have to be there. I was given a new Trax to drive -- It did take almost 2 months to get my blazer back though. Seems like a long wait; but it's all good. Jose was excellent in communicating all that was going on from ordering the parts to why there were delays; and getting the work completed by the tech.

Hi David, thank for the feedback. We do try our best to get vehicles in as close to the check-in time as possible, however there are occasional shop delays where-in we need to finish up a vehicle already in a repair stall prior to bringing the next one in. This was not the case with your visit, however. We did a full 15k service on the car which took 2 full hours of technician time punched in/punched out in the service stall. We will do our best to stay on time as much as possible, and set a good realistic timeframe for the job at check-in. I brought my 2024 3500 in for its second service and I asked for an oil change, fuel filter change and tire rotation. I was told it would take the better part of the day so I took the day off and rented a car so I could go run errands. I got back to the dealership and they did not rotate the tires. After questioning the service writer about this he said they would do it right then. I took a walk and when I returned in an hour my truck was sitting in the same spot untouched. As I walked in the door the service writer greeted me and said they were almost done? I told him my truck had not moved since I left for my walk. I am very disappointed in the service I received and I will not be returning there. I took a day off work costing me around $2400 in lost revenue, I spent $124 to rent a car and I waited an additional hour of my day for them to forget to rotate my tires again. I was offered an $80.00 refund. Thanks for wasting my time guys. I will take my business to a local shop who actually makes me feel like they care about my time and apricate my business.

The 1pm check-in time doesn't typically mean the vehicle is pulling in the shop at 1pm. We usually need a lift to finish a repair and once that lift clears out then the next vehicle can pull in. It is our omission for not explaining that well, however your vehicle was pulled into the shop right around 2pm when a lift became available and was finished at 4:15. By the time the paperwork made it through the process, it did take longer than your expected time. I had a decent experience at Platinum Chevrolet. I always felt like they had my best interests at heart and were going to bat for me. Unfortunately, GM needs to rethink their policy on fixing electrical issues. They would not authorize an attempted repair on my backup camera because the tech could not replicate the issue on inspection. This had been an intermittent issue for MONTHS, and the logs backed it up, yet GM held firm, even under warranty. It took me months of hassle and phone calls, multiple visits, for them to finally authorize a fix. Then the fix was simple and now the car is back to being great. I can only imagine if someone went in with an engine that intermittently failed, GM said they couldn't do anything about it until it fails for the tech, only to have that person die in a fiery accident on the freeway due to the failure. That is what the policy will inevitably cause. Please fix your policy GM. Thanks again for the service Platinum Chevrolet!

I had a great experience. This was my first time purchasing a car ever the team made it so easy. Finance department was wonderful. They were very helpful. They were very supportive when they saw. I was starting to get a little nervous Juan, who we work with to purchase a vehicle was also wonderful. He kept us in the loop and every single step of the way he sat in my car with me explained to me, my dash my steering wheel showed me all of the bells and whistles on my car. I am so appreciative. Mark was also wonderful. He helped me with signing my paperwork. He went paper by paper with me explaining everything I cannot complain about my experience. It was great. Odine our service manager was polite and seemed to be efficient. However, we rented a car for over a month while the truck was being worked on by Platinum Chevrolet because we had to get back and forth from Santa Rosa to Hidden Valley Lake everyday due to work. This cost us over $2,600.00. The extended warranty negotiations with Platinum Chevrolet took too long and cost us a lot of money we don't have. The warranty will only cover a small part of the rental and will take too long to get the reimbursement. My complaint is with GM for the poor quality of the service warranty they offer and to Platinum Chevrolet for not offering us loaner car for this amount of work on the vehicle and time you had the vehicle. We ended up paying you over $3000.00 to Platinum Chevrolet. You'd think your service department could have given us a loaner. I had asked for a loaner but Odin said he didn't know sometimes the have one etc. but never offered one. Odin heard my complaints during every phone call about how much the rental was costing me and my pleas to move faster on the repairs.

I have already had a long discussion with Eric. The automated text system was awful. I couldn't get a direct response from a human being which resulted in my car being trapped in the service department on a Saturday. Fortunately Mark in sales was able to think outside the box and was able to retrieve my car. Eric phoned me on Monday with apologies and with positive steps moving forward. Otherwise, I would not bring my car back to Platinum.
